TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE @ HOLLIDAY PARK

New to hockey?  Here's your chance to get a small taste of the coolest game around!  As part of USA Hockey Week Across America, we'll be hosting a TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE session on the outdoor rink at Holliday Park!  Local players and coaches will be on-hand to offer some basic instruction on skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, and more!

LITTLE BLACKHAWKS - LEARN TO PLAY

PERRY PARK ICE ARENA

The Little Blackhawks Learn to Play is a program that provides a unique opportunity for families to join the hockey community and for participants to develop fundamental skills to help them succeed both on and off the ice.  Players receive 7 weeks of age-appropriate instruction, and certified coaching in a fun and safe atmosphere, all while maintaining the goal of inspiring the youth players and welcoming more families into the hockey community.  Every player receives a full set of equipment, including helmet, stick, skates, and more... yours to keep!

SPRING LEARN TO PLAY

Learning to play hockey is more than just learning a game. More than skating, passing and stick-handling, hockey is about responsibility, respect and teamwork. As children learn the skills needed to succeed on the ice, they also build and solidify important character traits needed to succeed off the ice. We are excited to share this with the next generation of players!

This 4-week program offers both Learn to Play for those new to hockey and advanced Learn to Play for those who have participated in a previous program. Players will be grouped based on skill level and skating ability. We do recommend that all players have completed a Learn to Skate program or can stand on their own and have the basic concept of skating forward.

  • Cost - $100.00
  • Saturdays  9:00 - 10:00 am
  • April 5, 12, 19, and 26
